Caribbean Gateways: How To Find Nonstop Flights From NY To Paradise

We all know that once we buckle into a flight en route to a long-anticipated vacation, we want to get there as quickly as possible. To this end, nonstop flights are arguably the best type of flights. Even though direct flights don’t require you to exit one plane only to get on another like connecting flights, they still typically make stops along the way.

Consider it this way: A nonstop flight is equivalent to taking a taxi while a direct flight is like taking a bus. Both get you where you want to be, but the former is more efficient in doing so.

Nonetheless, it can be difficult to find nonstop flights—they tend to book up quickly and they also tend to be more expensive. (That is, unless you become an independent travel agent with InteleTravel.)

Fortunately, Islands magazine did most of the work for you in a late 2014 article that serves a valuable resource for those looking for nonstop flight to get you to your destination ASAP.

The article describes 20 nonstop flights from NY to various Caribbean destinations and includes the airline companies that fly to the locations and flight availability for each list item as well.

For example, there are nonstop flights from NY to Turks and Caicos on a daily basis year-round through both JetBlue and Delta Air Lines. United Airlines also flies to Turks and Caicos throughout the year, but only 4 days out of the week—Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Another destination Islands includes is Bermuda. According to the article, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue, and United Airlines all fly there year-round, which is great for travelers who prefer to fly to Bermuda rather than cruise. However, though American Airlines, JetBlue, and United Airlines fly there from NY on a daily basis, Islands reported that Delta Air Lines usually only flies on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

And since all 5 of the airlines mentioned are InteleTravel partners, trying to find nonstop flights will be a walk in the park, or better yet, a day at the beach.
